WHEREAS, under Sec. 2, par. (4) of Article IX, C, of the Constitution, such deputation requires the concurrence of the President of the Republic of the Philippines;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Commission on Elections resolves to request, as it hereby requests, the concurrence of the President of the Philippines in its deputation of law enforcement agencies and instrumentalities of the government, including the Armed Forces of the Philippines, in connection with the May 14, 2001 national and local elections.
The Executive
Director is hereby directed to forward to His Excellency, the President
of the Philippines through the Honorable Executive Secretary,
Malacañang,
Manila, a copy of this Resolution and Resolution No. 3309, promulgated
on 07 November 2000.
