EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 846 - AMENDING
EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 827 DATED SEPTEMBER 1, 1982

FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by
virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, in order to
ensure the success of the coco-diesel program, do hereby direct and
order. SECTION 1. Section 1 of Executive Order No. 827 is hereby amended to read as follows: “Sec.
1. Coconut oil sold to the Philippine National Oil
Company to be used as engine fuel, either in its pure state or has
blending component for diesel fuel, shall be exempted from the coconut
levy and miller’s tax for crude coconut oil and sales tax for refined
coconut oil, and the special fund impost and specific tax normally
applied to diesel fuel.”
SECTION 2. Section 2 of the same order is hereby amended to read as follows: “Sec.
2. The Ministry of Finance shall, in consultation
with the Ministers of Energy and the National Economic and Development
Authority and upon recommendation of the Commissioner of Internal
Revenue, promulgate the appropriate rules and regulations to implement
this Order.”
SECTION 3. This Order shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 10th day of November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty two. |
