EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 124-A -
AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 124, DATED 30 JANUARY 1987, REORGANIZING
THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS, REDEFINING ITS POWERS AND
FUNCTIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby order: SECTION 1. Section 28 of Executive Order No. 124, dated 30 January 1987, reorganizing the Department of Public Works and Highways, is hereby amended as follows: “Section
28. Abolitions/Transfers. Compliance into the
following is hereby prescribed:
(a)
The Pasig River Development Council is hereby abolished and its flood
control functions are transferred to the pertinent Bureau, Services,
and Regional Office of the Department.
(b) The Rural Waterworks Development Corporation is hereby abolished and its functions and assets transferred to the Local Water Utilities Administration in accordance with Sectiond 29 to 31 hereof. (c) The National Water Resources Council is hereby renamed and reorganized as the National Water Resources Board and shall continue to be attached to the Department: Provided; That all of its technical functions are hereby tranaferred to the Bureau of Research and Standards and other offices as deemed appropriate by the Secretary.” SECTION 2. Section 29 is hereby amended by deleting sub-section (a) and relettering sub-sections (b), (c), and (d) as (a), (b), and (c), respectively. SECTION 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 22nd day of July in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-seven. |
