EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 239 - DECLARING
AND DELINEATING THE LOPEZ PORT ZONE UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE
JURISDICTION OF THE PHILIPPINES PORTS AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the Port of Lopez has been
identified as one of the major ports to be developed in the
country;
WHEREAS, there is a need to construct the Port of Lopez to accommodate
projected increases in port traffic and to program the provision of the
necessary port facilities to meet the demands of maritime commerce and
trade within the region;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by
virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
Section 1.
“Beginning
at point marked 1 on the plan, thence to point 2 at a distance of
2,500.00 m with bearing N 29º58’54”E, thence to point 3 at a
distance of 5,000.00 m with bearing S 60º1’6”E, thence to point 4
at a distance of 2,500.00 m with bearing N 29º58’54”E, thence to
point 1, the point bearing of beginning at a distance of 5,000.00 m
with bearing S 60º1’6”E, all in all comprising a total area of
1,250.00 hectares more or less.”
