PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1172 -
TRANSFERRING AND CONVEYING TO THE PHILIPPINE TOURISM AUTHORITY CERTAIN
PARCELS OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE DOMAIN OF THE GOVERNMENT
LOCATED IN BANAUE, IFUGAO PROVINCE, BAUCO, MT. PROVINCE AND BAGUIO CITY
FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES

| By virtue
of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS,
President of the Philippines, hereby transfer and cede to the
Philippine Tourism Authority for tourism development purposes certain
parcels of land of the public and private domain of the government
located in Banaue, Ifugao, Bauco, Mt. Province and Baguio City which
parcels of land are more particularly described as follows: I. Banaue. "A parcel of land situated in Banaue, Ifugao, beginning at point 1. which is S.20 58'E 868.94 m. from BLLM 1, Banaue,. Ifugao; thence N. 8035'E., 86.32 m. to pt. 2; thence S. 16º47'E., 156.57 m. to pt. 3; thence S. 2º06'E., 159.67 m. to pt. 4; thence N. 70º34'W., 56.64 m. to pt. 5; thence N. 42º06'W., 43.16 m. to pt. 6; thence N. 2º02'W., 250.40 m. to point of beginning containing 28,908 square meters. II. Bauco. "A portion consisting 9.19 hectares of the Mt. Data National Park, located in the Sitio of Halsema Mountain Road, Sub-Province of Bontoc, Mt. Province, and technically described as follows: Corners Bearings Distances 1-2 S 76º-45'W 147 meters 2-3 N 0º-17'E 346 meters 3-4 S 57º-09'E 79 meters 4-5 S 80º-00'E 291 meters 5-6 S 16º-20'W 85 meters 6-7 S 48º-57'W 124 meters 7-8 S 23º-32'W 95 meters 8-1 S 47º-23'W 82 meters corner No. 1 is identical to kilometer post No. 100 Halsema Mountain Road. III. Baguio City. Lines Bearings Distances Lot 1 12 DUE EAST 49.17 M. 23 S. 49 59'W. 48.77 M. 31 N. 20 39'W. 33.51 M. Lot 2 12 N. 41 19'E. 99.72 M. 23 S. 89 22'E. 5.36 M. 34 S. 48 43'E. 41.05 M. 45 S. 45 00'W. 29.13 M. 56 S. 49 59'W. 42.23 M. 61 DUE WEST 49.17 M. Lot 3 12 N. 44 47'E. 158.95 M. 23 N. 45 00'E. 29.13 M. 34 S. 46 17'E. 134.68 M. 45 S. 24 35'E. 10.01 M. 56 S. 5 49'E. 9.46 M. 61 S. 26 57'W 24.47 M. Containing an area of 9,056 square meters, more or less. Point No. 1 of Lots 1 and 2 is N. 48 08'W. 114.56 M. from triangular station "Happy" Baguio Ts. All laws, proclamations, executive orders inconsistent herewith are hereby revoked or amended accordingly. The Philippine tourism Authority may not alienate the said parcels of land or any portion thereof without the prior approval of the President of the Philippines, although it may encumber the same to any government financing institution for development purposes. This Decree shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 12th day of July in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-seven. |
