PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1303 -
ESTABLISHING A VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN THE PROVINCE OF BASILAN TO BE KNOWN
AS THE BASILAN NATIONAL AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL AND AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

| WHEREAS,
Basilan is primarily agricultural in economy and the development of the
province hinges mostly in improving its agriculture; WHEREAS, an agro-industrial school, will best serve the needs for the development of said province; and WHEREAS, the establishment of an Agro-Industrial school has been sought by the residents of Basilan to enhance the development objectives of the government in their province. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution do hereby order and decree: Section 1. A national vocational school to be known as the Basilan National Agro-Industrial shall be established in the province of Basilan. Section 2. The Secretary of Education and Culture is hereby authorized to organize said school accordingly. Section 3. The sums of six hundred and fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said school during the current fiscal year. Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriation measure. Section 4. This Decree shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of February in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-eight. |
