PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1580 -
AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1011 CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF
SOUTH UPI IN THE PROVINCE OF MAGUINDANAO
|
| WHEREAS,
the physical distance of Barangay Looy, as the seat of municipal
government, to the center of population of the Municipality of South
Upi, is a factor not conducive to the attainment of the desired
development of the municipality; WHEREAS, Sitio Timanan in Barangay Romoangaob, being centrally located and more accessible from all points, is an ideal seat of municipal government. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree the amendment of Section 1 of Presidential Decree No. 1011 dated September 22, 1976, as follows: Section 1. The seat of government of the newly created municipality shall be in Sitio Timanan in Barangay Romoangaob." Section 2. This Decree shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 11th day of June, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-eight. |
