PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1875 -
REPEALING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1737, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS AN ACT
PROVIDING FOR THE PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC ORDER AND THE PROTECTION OF
INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS AND LIBERTIES DURING PERIODS OF EMERGENCY AND
EXERCISE OF EXTRA-ORDINARY EXECUTIVE POWERS

| WHEREAS,
with the issuance of Proclamation No. 2045, the provisions of
Presidential Decree No. 1737 providing for the preservation of public
order and the protection of individual rights and liberties during
periods of emergency can now be repealed. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby repeal Presidential Decree No. 1737, otherwise known as the Act Providing for the Preservation of Public Order and the Protection of Individual Rights and Liberties during periods of Emergency and Exercise of Extra-ordinary Executive Powers, effective immediately, without prejudice to any proceedings, cases in Court or transactions that might have arisen from any of the laws embodied in said Code. Done in the City of Manila, Philippines this 21st day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-three. |
