PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1881 -
GRANTING PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP TO PAULO HO ALIAS TIM SHING

| WHEREAS,
Paulo Ho alias Ho Tim Shing, a Portuguese citizen of Chinese descent,
has manifested his desire to become a Philippine citizen; WHEREAS, it has been his wish to make the Philippines his permanent home to which he shall forever owe and pledge his allegiance and loyalty; WHEREAS, during the entire period of his stay in the Philippines, he has mingled socially with our people and has embraced and practiced our customs/traditions and shared with us our aspirations; WHEREAS, through his wholehearted assistance and support as director of the Philippine Casino Operators Corporation, he has developed casino operations in the country as a new source of revenue for the Philippine Government; WHEREAS, he has, by his active involvement in the economic and social development of our country, proven himself worthy of all the rights, privileges and prerogatives of a citizen of this country. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby grant Philippine citizenship to Paulo Ho with all the rights, privileges and prerogatives appurtenant thereto, Provided, he takes his oath of allegiance within thirty (30) days herefrom. This Decree shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-three. |
