PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1926 -
AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5921 (AS AMENDED) SO AS TO REDUCE THE LENGTH
OF THE PHARMACY COURSE

WHEREAS,
Republic Act No. 5921 (as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1363)
requires completion of a pharmacy course of not less than five (5)
years in order to qualify as candidate for the Board examination in
Pharmacy; chanroblesvirtualawlibrary
WHEREAS, the Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the Board of Pharmacy
and the Philippine Pharmaceutical Association have taken the position
that is desirable to integrate overlapping courses and delete
unnecessary subject matter from the existing pharmacy curriculum, thus
reducing the pharmacy course from five (5) to four (4) years without
sacrificing educational standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines,
by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby
amend Republic Act No. 5921 (as amended) by deleting paragraph D and
replacing paragraph C as follows:cralaw:red
"c. He shall have graduated with a degree of Bachelor
of Science in Pharmacy or with an equivalent degree from a school,
college or university after satisfactorily completing a standard
pharmacy course of not less than four (4) academic years."
This Decree shall be immediately effective.

this 30th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and
eighty-four.
