PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 2014 -
AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1314, EXEMPTING PROJECT BENEFICIARIES
OF THE TONDO FORESHORE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT WHO OWN LAND HOLD ORIGINAL
AND/OR TRANSFER CERTIFICATES OF TITLE TO LAND ISSUED THROUGH THE
PREDECESSOR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES OF THE NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY FROM
PAYMENT OF THE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT COST

| WHEREAS,
Presidential Decree No. 1314 dated 20 March 1978, which defines the
land tenure policies in the Tondo Foreshore Development Project,
provides that project beneficiaries holding titles to land shall be
charged a fee corresponding to the development cost of the project
which is P0.95 per square meter per month; WHEREAS, the family beneficiaries of the Tondo Project who are holding Original and/or Transfer Certificates of Title to their land have petitioned that they not be charged the development cost fee since at the time of implementation of the Tondo Project, they had on their own, caused the installation of essential services such as water, electricity and sewerage and therefore did not benefit as much as those beneficiaries who did not own the land at the start of the project. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree: Section 1. Section 2. Section 3. DONE in the City of Manila, this 23rd day of January, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-six. |
