PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 248 -
EXTENDING THE PERIOD FOR REGISTRATION OF RESERVISTS TO AUGUST 31, 1973

| By virtue
of the powers vested in me by the Constitution as Commander-in-Chief of
all the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and pursuant to Proclamation
No. 1081 dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1 dated
September 22, 1972, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the
Philippines, do hereby extend the period for registration of reservists
for this year up to August 31, 1973, to enable all reservists in the
country as well as those who are abroad to register in accordance with
Presidential Decree No. 183 dated May 6, 1973. No further extension
shall be allowed after this and all those who fail to register shall be
prosecuted and penalized accordingly. This Decree shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 20th day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-three. |
