PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 518
- AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF Section 6 (d) PERTAINING TO THE
DISCRETIONARY FUND, PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 17 AS AMENDED BY
PRESIDENTIAL DECREES NOS. 130 AND 320

FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the
powers vested in me by the Constitution as Commander-in-Chief of all
the Armed Forces of the Philippines and pursuant to Proclamation No.
1081, dated September 21, 1972, and General Order No. 1 dated September
22, 1972, as amended, do hereby order and decree: Section 1. The provisions of Section 6, subparagraph (d) of Presidential Decree No. 17, as amended by Section 2, Presidential Decree No. 320, is hereby further amended to read as follows: "d) Discretionary Fund. — Ten per centum of the Highway Special Fund shall be allotted to the Discretionary Fund under the control of the Secretary of Public Highways to be used: first, to augment any deficiency in the allotment of administrative expenses; for payment of gratuity benefits and the money value of accrued leaves; for payment of compensation benefits to employees who become sick and/or injured in the course of employment; second, to increase other allotments provided for in this Act; third, for the construction of emergency landing fields. All unexpected portion of this fund shall be carried over to the next fiscal year for the same purpose." Section 2. This decree shall take effect immediately. Done in the City of Manila, this 22nd day of July, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-four. |
