REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3139 - AN ACT
PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A HOSPITAL IN THE
MUNICIPALITY OF TUBURAN, PROVINCE OF CEBU, AND AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR

| Section 1. There shall
be, under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Services, a
twenty-five-bed general hospital in the Municipality of Tuburan,
Province of Cebu, to be known as the Tuburan Hospital. The site for the
said hospital shall be provided by the Municipal Council of the
Municipality of Tuburan in consultation with the Director of Medical
Services. Sec. 2. The Secretary of Health shall promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry into effect the purpose of this Act. Sec. 3. The sum of one hundred fifty thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the maintenance and operation of the said hospital for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-two: Provided, That no amount herein authorized to be appropriated will be released unless the Secretary of Health certifies that a suitable hospital building is available. Such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance in subsequent years shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts. Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
