REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3547 - AN ACT TO
AUTHORIZE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FRESH-WATER INVESTIGATION UNIT
(LIMNOLOGICAL) AND FISH NURSERY STATION OF LAKE PAOAY IN THE
MUNICIPALITY OF PAOAY, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE
APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR

1. There shall be established and maintained, under
the supervision of the Commissioner of Fisheries, a fresh-water
investigation unit (limnological) and a fresh-water fish nursery
station at Paoay Lake in the Municipality of Paoay, Province of Ilocos
Norte. Sec. 2. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry into effect the purposes of this Act during the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and sixty-four. This amount shall be apportioned as follows: a. Fifty thousand pesos for the procurement of site, essential equipment and installation of buildings and laboratories. b. Twenty-five thousand pesos for the maintenance of personnel for the fresh-water investigation unit. c. Twenty-five thousand pesos for the maintenance of personnel for the fish nursery station project. Thereafter, the amount of not less than fifty thousand pesos needed for maintenance and operation shall be included in the General Appropriation Act each year. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 21, 1963 |
