REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9223

AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE SECOND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT OFFICE IN THE PROVINCE OF SULU INTO A SEPARATE DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.


 
Section 1.    There shall be established under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) a separate district engineering office in the Second Congressional District, Province of Sulu to be located in the Municipality of Luuk to be known as Sulu Second District Engineering Office.

Sec. 2.    The Secretary of the DPWH shall include in its program the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Sulu Second Engineering District in the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.   

Sec. 3.    This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
(Note:  Lapsed into law on August 8, 2003, without the signature of the President,
in accordance with Article VI, Section 27 (1) of the Constitution)
