| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1264 - AN
ACT CONSTITUTING THE SUB-PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR INTO A SEPARATE,
INDEPENDENT AND REGULAR HIGHWAY ENGINEERING DISTRICT, AMENDING FOR THE
PURPOSE ACT NUMBERED THIRTY-ONE HUNDRED FORTY-THREE |
| Section 1. Act
Numbered Thirty-one hundred forty-three is amended by adding after
section five thereof a new section, to be known as section 5-A, which
shall read as follows: "Sec. 5-A.
Within thirty days after the approval of this amendatory Act, the
Sub-province of Siquijor shall be constituted and organized into a
separate, independent and regular highway engineering district similar
to existing engineering districts, for which a district engineer shall
be assigned in accordance with laws rules and regulations applicable
thereto." Sec. 2. The title of the said Act is amended to read as follows: "An Act granting to the
Sub-province of Siquijor the right to elect a member to represent the
interests of the sub-province in the provincial board of Oriental
Negros, and constituting said sub-province into a separate, independent
and regular highway engineering district. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.cralaw Approved: June 10, 1955 |
