| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1542 - AN ACT
AMENDING SECTION TWENTY-ONE AND EIGHTY-FOUR OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED
FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
ILIGAN |
| Section 1. The
first paragraph of section twenty-one of Republic Act Numbered Five
hundred twenty-five, as amended, otherwise known as the Charter of the
City of Iligan, is further amended to read as follows: "Section 21.
The city treasurer — His powers, duties and compensation. — There shall
be a city treasurer who shall have charge of the department of finance
and shall act as chief fiscal officer and financial adviser of the city
and custodian of its funds. He shall receive a salary of not exceeding
three thousand six hundred pesos per annum. There shall also be an
assistant city treasurer who shall receive a salary of three thousand
pesos per annum. The city treasurer shall have the following general
powers and duties:"
Section 2. Section eighty-four of the same Act, as amended, is further amended to read as follows: "Section 84.
General Auditing Office — City Auditor. — The city auditor, under the
supervision of the Auditor General, shall receive and audit all
accounts of the city in accordance with the provisions of law relating
to government accounts and accounting. The city auditor shall receive a
compensation of three thousand six hundred pesos per annum, one-half of
which shall be payable from the funds of the city, and the other half
from funds of the National Government. There shall be an assistant city
auditor who shall receive a compensation of three thousand pesos per
annum payable from funds of the city."
Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 16, 1956 |
