REPUBLIC ACT NO. 161 - AN ACT TO
AUTHORIZE THE RECLAMATION OF FORESHORE LANDS BY THE CITY OF BACOLOD

Section 1. Authority is hereby granted the City of Bacolod to undertake and carry out at its own expense the reclamation by dredging, filling or other means, of any foreshore lands bordering the city in order to establish and provide proper and adequate docking and harbor facilities for interisland and ocean going vessel calling at the aforesaid city. Sec. 2. Any and all lands reclaimed as herein provided shall be the property of the City of Bacolod except that the new foreshore along the reclaimed lands shall continue to be the property of the National Government. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 20, 1947
