REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1795 - AN
ACT TO ESTABLISH ISLAND EMERGENCY HOSPITALS UNDER THE BUREAU OF
HOSPITALS AND FIRST CLASS DISPENSARIES AND HEALTH CENTERS UNDER THE
BUREAU OF HEALTH AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR |
Section 1. There
is hereby established, under the Bureau of Hospitals, island emergency
hospitals in each of the following island municipalities: San
Francisco, Camotes Island, and Bantayan, Bantayan Island, Province of
Cebu; Buenavista, Guimaras Island, Province of Iloilo; Naval, Biliran
Island, Province of Leyte; Tablas Island, Province of Romblon; and
Dapa, Siargao Island, Province of Surigao, each of which shall be under
the management and supervision of a chief who must be a physician of
good repute, graduated from a medical college of recognized standing
and has five years practice of medicine. The Director of each said
hospitals shall be appointed by the Secretary of Health upon the
recommendation of the Director of Hospitals and shall have all the
powers conferred generally on chiefs of Government hospitals.cralaw
Sec. 2. Each of the emergency hospitals established in this Act is hereby given twenty-five thousand pesos to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for its construction, operation and maintenance.cralaw Sec. 3. There is hereby established, under the Bureau of Health, first class dispensaries in an isolated island in each of the following places: Bato-Bato, Tawi-Tawi Island, Province of Sulu; Rapu-Rapu, Rapu-Rapu Island, Province of Albay; Anda, Anda Island, Province of Pangasinan; Alabat, Alabat Island, Province of Quezon; Lubang, Lubang Island, Province of Mindoro Occidental; Babac, Samal Island, Province of Davao; Liloan, Panaon Island, Province of Leyte; San Jacinto, Ticao Island, Province of Masbate; San Fernando, Sibuyan Island, Province of Romblon; Coron, Busuanga Island, Province of Palawan; and Pilar Island, Province of Cebu.cralaw Sec. 4. Each of the first class dispensaries established in this Act is hereby given ten thousand pesos to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for its construction, operation and maintenance.cralaw Sec. 5. There is hereby established, under the Bureau of Health, health centers in each of the following places: Bungo Island, Parang, Province of Cotabato; Gigantes Island, Carles, and Sicogon Island, Carles, Province of Iloilo; Cardona Side, Binangonan Side, Talim Island, Province of Rizal; barrio Pamarawan, Malolos, Province of Bulacan, Molocaboc Island, Sagay, Province of Negros Occidental; Sipaway, Sipaway Island, San Carlos, Province of Negros Occidental; Sacol Island, Zamboanga City; Polillo Island, Province of Quezon; Concepcion, Maestre de Campo Island, Jones, Banton Island and Corcuera, Simara Island, all in the Province of Romblon; Araceli, Dumaran Island, Cagayancillo, Cagayancillo Island, and Balabac, Balabac Island, all in the Province of Palawan; Calayan, Calayan Island, Province of Cagayan; Itbayat, Itbayat Island, and Sabtang, Sabtang Island, Province of Batanes; Cagayan de Sulu, Cagayan de Sulu Island, Province of Sulu; and San Pascual, Burias Island, Province of Masbate.cralaw Sec. 6. Each of the health centers established in this Act is hereby given five thousand pesos to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for its construction, operation and maintenance.cralaw
Sec. 7. This Act, except as otherwise provided,
