| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2226 - AN ACT
CREATING THE POSITION OF SUB-PROVINCIAL ASSESSOR FOR THE SUB-PROVINCE
OF SIQUIJOR |
| Section 1. Act
Numbered Thirty-one hundred forty-three, as amended by Republic Act
Numbered Twelve hundred sixty-four, is further amended by inserting
after section five-A thereof a new section which shall read as follows: "Sec. 5-B.
The sub-province shall have a sub-provincial assessor who, under the
direction and supervision of the provincial assessor of Negros
Oriental, shall perform the duties of assessor for the sub-province.
The sub-provincial assessor shall be appointed by the President of the
Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments and
shall receive a compensation of three thousand six hundred pesos per
annum. Sec. 2. The title of the said Act, as amended, is further amended to read as follows: "An Act to provide for the
election and appointment of certain officials for the sub-province of
Siquijor." Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.cralaw Approved: May 21, 1959. |
