| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2253 - AN ACT
CREATING A DIVISION AND ADDITIONAL POSITIONS IN THE GENERAL AUDITING
OFFICE AND PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION THEREOF |
| Section 1. There
is hereby created a Division under the Office of the Auditor General,
General Auditing Office, to be known as the Control and Review
Division, with the following positions and appropriation for its
operation: I.
PERSONNEL SERVICES
One chief of division P7,200 One assistant chief of division 6,600 Two legal officers at P5,400 per annum 10,800 Two legal officers at P4,800 per annum 9,600 One confidential assistant 4,800 Four legal officers at P3,960 per annum 15,840 One civil engineer 6,000 One mechanical engineer 6,000 One electrical engineer 6,000 One architect 4,800 One stenographer 2,400 Two stenographers at P1,800 per annum 3,600 Two drivers at P1,800 per annum........... 3,600 One laborer-filer...................................... 1,440 Total for personnel service...... P88,680 II. MAINTENANCE AND OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES Travel expenses P30,000 Total for maintenance and other operating expenses P30,000 III. FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT Equipment outlay P5,000 Total for furniture and equipment 5,000 IV. SUMMARY Total for personnel services P88,680 Total for maintenance and other operating expenses 30,000 Total for furniture and equipment 5,000 Total appropriation for the Control and Review Division P123,680 Section 2. The following additional positions are hereby created to augment the present force of the Program Unit of said Office: Five auditors at P4,800 per
annum P24,000
Five auditors at P3,960 per annum 19,800 Total P43,800 Section 3. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the amount of seventy-five thousand two hundred pesos to carry out the provisions of the Act for the current fiscal year and the amount of one hundred sixty-seven thousand four hundred eighty pesos for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty. The corresponding appropriation for the succeeding fiscal years shall be included in the General Appropriation Acts for such years. Section 4. Any savings realized in the appropriation authorized in this Act at the end of the fiscal year may be used by the Auditor General in strengthening his Office. Section 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, June 18, 1959. |
