| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2730 - AN ACT
PROVIDING FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A GENERAL HOSPITAL IN
THE MUNICIPALITY OF ESCALANTE, PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, AND
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE SUM OF FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS FOR
THE PURPOSE |

Section 1. There
shall be, under the Bureau of Medical Services, a twenty-five-bed
general hospital in the Municipality of Escalante, Province of Negros
Occidental, to be known as the Occidental Negros North General
Hospital. The site for the said hospital shall be provided by the
Municipal Council of the Municipality of Escalante in consultation with
the Director of Medical Services. Section 2. The Secretary of Health shall promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry into effect the purpose of this Act. Section 3. The sum of fifty thousand pesos is authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the maintenance and operation of said hospital during the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred and sixty-one: Provided, That no amount herein authorized to be appropriated will be released unless the Secretary of Health certifies that a suitable hospital building is available. In subsequent years, the operation and maintenance of said hospital shall be financed in accordance with Republic Act Numbered Nineteen hundred and thirty-nine. Section 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Enacted without Executive approval, June 19, 1960. |
