| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 287 - AN
ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE RECLAMATION OF FORESHORE AND MARSHY LANDS BY THE
MUNICIPALITY OF CATBALOGAN, PROVINCE OF SAMAR |
| Section
1. Authority is hereby granted the municipality of
Catbalogan, Province of Samar, to undertake and carry out at its own
expense the reclamation by dredging, filling or other means, of any
marshy lands within its territorial jurisdiction and of foreshore lands
bordering the said municipality for the purpose of constructing public
improvements and providing homesites for its inhabitants. Section 2. Any and all lands reclaimed as herein provided shall be the property of the municipality of Catbalogan, Province of Samar, except that the new foreshore along the reclaimed lands shall continue to be the property of the National Government. Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 16, 1948 |
