REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3990 - AN ACT TO
ESTABLISH A CENTRAL EXPERIMENT STATION FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF THE
PHILIPPINES

| Section 1. There is
hereby established a central experiment for the use of the University
of the Philippines in connection with its research and extension
functions, particularly by the College of Agriculture, College of
Veterinary Medicine and College of Arts and Sciences. Sec. 2. For this purpose, that parcel of the public domain consisting of three thousand hectares, more or less, located in the Municipality of Paete, Province of Laguna, the precise boundaries of which are stated in Executive Proclamation No. 791, Series of 1961, is hereby ceded and transferred in full ownership to the University of the Philippines, subject to any existing concessions, if any. Sec. 3. All operations and activities carried on in the central experiment station shall be exempt from taxation, local or general, any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, and any incidental receipts or income therefrom shall pertain to the general fund of the University of the Philippines. Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 18, 1964 |
