REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4009 - AN ACT
ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES TO BE KNOWN AS
BATANES SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES IN THE PROVINCE OF BATANES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR

| SECTION
1. There is hereby established a national school of
arts and trades to be known as Batanes School of Arts and Trades in the
Province of Batanes. SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to organize said school. He may locate or acquire, or cause to be located or acquired, any suitable site in the Province of Batanes for said school. SECTION 3. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of said school during the school year nineteen hundred and sixty-four to nineteen hundred sixty-five. Thereafter, the necessary funds for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
