REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4178 - AN ACT TO
CONVERT EASTERN PANGASINAN AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF
STA. MARIA, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN AS
EASTERN PANGASINAN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE
APPROPRIATIONS OF FUNDS THEREFOR

| SECTION
1. The Eastern Pangasinan Agricultural School located
in the Municipality of Sta. Maria, Province of Pangasinan, is hereby
converted into a college to be known as Eastern Pangasinan Agricultural
College. SECTION 2. The Eastern Pangasinan Agricultural College shall offer in addition to the secondary agricultural curriculum, the following collegiate courses: (a) A four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. (b) A four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. (c) A four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education. (d) A four-year course leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. (e) A two-year course leading to the title of Associate in Agriculture. SECTION 3. The Eastern Pangasinan Agricultural College shall be under the Bureau of Vocation Education and shall have a superintendent as its head. SECTION 4. The Secretary of Education shall implement the conversion provided for in Section one hereof within six months from the approval of this Act. SECTION 5. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of the said college, in addition to the present national appropriation of the said school, for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-five. Thereafter, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. SECTION 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: March 26, 1965 |
