| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 524 - AN
ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF OPOL, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL |
| Section 1. The
barrios of Opol, Igpit, and Lower Iponan in the municipality of
Cagayan, Province of Misamis Oriental, are hereby separated from said
municipality and constituted into a new municipality to be known as the
municipality of Opol, with the present barrio of Opol as the seat of
the government. Section 2. Upon the approval of this Act, the President of the Philippines shall appoint the first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the new municipality, who shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected and shall have qualified. Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 15, 1950 |
