REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6537 - AN ACT
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL
CONVENTION OF 1971 TO ENABLE IT TO CONTINUE ITS WORK OF PROPOSING
AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE PHILIPPINES FROM JULY 1, 1972 TO
JANUARY 31, 1973 Section 1. The
sum of thirteen million five hundred thousand pesos is hereby
appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise
appropriated, for the operating expenses of the Constitutional
Convention of 1971 to enable it to continue its work of proposing
amendments to the Constitution of the Philippines from July 1, 1972 to
January 31, 1973, for the purposes and in the amounts following: Sec. 2. Release of Funds. — The Budget Commissioner and the National Treasurer of the Philippines shall set aside from the national funds the appropriations herein authorized for the Constitutional Convention of 1971. Upon notice by the President of the Constitutional Convention of 1971, the Budget Commissioner and the National Treasurer, as well their subordinate officers and employees, shall effect automatic equal monthly releases covering appropriations for the Constitutional Convention of 1971, the provisions of any other law, rule or regulation relating to the allotment system notwithstanding. Sec. 3. Any unexpended amount of the sums herein appropriated after January 31, 1973, or on the date of final adjournment of the Constitutional Convention if said adjournment be earlier than January 31, 1973 shall automatically revert to the general funds of the government. Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its
