| REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7950 - AN ACT
DECLARING DECEMBER EIGHTEEN OF EVERY YEAR AS "ARAW NG LAGUNA" AND A
SPECIAL WORKING DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LAGUNA AND THE CITY OF SAN PABLO
TO COMMEMORATE THE MEMORY AND DEATH OF THE LATE GOVERNOR FELICISIMO T.

| SECTION
1. Governor Felicisimo T. San Luis was regarded as
the father of the agro-industrial development of Laguna. He
pioneered the promotion of family planning; increased rice production
variety in cooperation with the International Rice Research Institute
(IRRI); worked for the establishment of hundreds of industries in the
first and second districts of the province; and sustained economic and
improved infrastructures in Laguna. SECTION 2. December eighteen of every year is hereby declared as "Araw ng Laguna" and a special working day in the Province of Laguna and the City of San Pablo to commemorate the memory and death of the late Governor Felicisimo T. San Luis. SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. * Lapsed into law without the signature of the President on March 25, 1995 in accordance with Article VI, Sec. 27(1) of the Constitution. |
