RENAMING
THE SUBCOMMITTEE ON HISTORY OF THE JUDICIARY AS THE COMMITTEE ON THE
HISTORY
OF THE JUDICIARY AND APPOINTING ITS NEW OFFICERS AND MEMBERS.
Administrative
Order No. 138-a dated 28 August 1995 created the Subcommittee on
the History of Judiciary as a Subcommittee of the National Centennial
Commission.
The latter has become functus officio. However, in view
of
the centenary programs and activities, some of which may be continued
or
new once pursued after 11 June 2001, there is a need not only to
maintain
the regular work of the subcommittee but to broaden its functions and
responsibilities
and elevate its status into a regular committee and to appoint the new
officials and members thereof.
WHEREFORE,
the Subcommittee on the History of the Judiciary created under Adm.
Order
No. 138-a dated 28 August 1995 is hereby elevated into a committee
known
as the COMMITTEE ON THE HISTORY OF THE JUDICIARY and shall be composed
of:
Chairman: Mme. Justice (ret.) Carolina Griño-Aquino Co-Chairman: Mr. Justice (ret.) Camilo D. Quison Members: Luzviminda D. Puno Ismael G. Khan, Jr. Alfredo L. Benipayo Edna E. Diño Fortunato Gupit, Jr. Milagros Santos Ong Secretary and Asst. Secretary: To be designated by the Chairman This Administrative Circular shall take effect immediately. Issued this 29th day of September 2000.
