TRIAL COURTS, SHARI’A DISTRICT COURTS AND SHARI’A CIRCUIT COURTS
SUBJECT:
CELEBRATION
OF THE CENTENARY YEAR OF THE SUPREME COURT.
June 11, 2001, is
the centenary of the Supreme Court, which was established on June 11,
1901.
The Supreme Court centenary year started on June 11, 2000.
Programs and
activities
are being planned by the Centenary Executive Committee of the Court for
a meaningful celebration of the occasion. In recognition of the vital
role
and function of your courts in the System that the Supreme Court heads,
commemorative activities highlighting the history and work of the
Judiciary
are being lined up to take place at selected representative lower court
stations. The activities will be held on programmed dates between
January
and May 2001.
Wholehearted
participation
in the preparation for and during the celebration days is hereby
enjoined.
While plans are being drawn up, ideas in line with the objectives of
the
celebration may be suggested and sent to the Office of the Court
Administrator.
