PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES V. SALVADOR BON Y AGSANGRE
G.R. No. 187079 (People of the Philippines v. Salvador Bon y Agsangre) - Considering the allegations, issues and arguments presented in the appeal, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals committed any reversible error in its assailed Decision dated October 8, 2008 as to warrant the exercise of the Court's appellate jurisdiction.
IN VIEW OF THE FOREGOING, the Court ADOPTS the findings and conclusions of law in the Decision dated October 8, 2008 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR-H.C. No. 01965 and AFFIRMS said Decision finding appellant Salvador Bon y Agsangre guilty beyond reasonable doubt of two counts of rape, sentencing him in each count, to suffer the penalty of reclusion perpetua and to pay civil indemnity of P50,000.00, moral damages of P50,000.00, and to pay the costs of the suit.
