[A.C. No. 8125 : November 21, 2011]
TEOFILA JABONITE-ARAO v. ATTY. EMMANUEL C. OPAY
A.C. No. 8125 (Teofila Jabonite-Arao v. Atty. Emmanuel C. Opay).
RESOLUTION
The Court resolves to NOTE the Letter dated September 5, 2011 of complainant Teofila Jabonite-Arao praying that her request for a review of her case be granted and that her letter be considered a motion for reconsideration of the Resolution dated June 22, 2011 which declared this case closed and terminated, TREAT it as a petition for review of the said resolution, and DENY the same, there being no reversible error by the IBP Board of Governors in issuing the Notice of Resolution No. XIX-2010-695 dated November 13, 2010 which dismissed the case for lack of merit. There is no evidence that Atty. Opay has overstepped the limits of the Lawyer's Oath or the Canons of Professional Ethics to advocate the interest of his clients. The legal remedies taken by Atty. Emmanuel C. Opay to support the cause of his clients are within the bounds of the law, and his actions do not warrant disciplinary action.cralaw
