RE: CLARIFICATION AS TO THE OFFICIAL DATE OF RET. OF CA ASSO. J., OMAR U. UMIN.

Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated APR 13, 1999.

A.M. No. 9806-Ret (RE: Clarification as to the official date of retirement of Court of Appeals Associate Justice Omar U. Amin.)

Acting on the 1st Indorsement dated 8 February 1999, of Hon. Chief Justice Hilario G. Davide, Jr., directing the Office of the Court Administrator to clarify and determine the official retirement date of Hon. Omar U. Amin, Associate Justice, Court of Appeals, with the following documents relative to the date of birth of Justice Amin:

1) Certificate from the Local Civil Registrar of non-availability of record of birth;

2) A copy of the late registration of Certificate of Live Birth;

3) Duly accomplished GSIS Information for Membership dated 3 March 1986;

4) Service Record in the Judiciary with different dates of issuances;

5) Petition to take the August 1954 Bar examination;

6) Oath dated 20 January 1955 as member of the Bar.

And it appearimg that based on all the personal records of Hon. Omar U. Amin, it was established that 3 December 1929 is his actual date of birth, hence, he is due to compulsorily retire at the age of seventy (70) om 3 December 1999, the Court Resolved to direct the Office of the Court Administrator to FURNISH the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) with certified true copis of all the personal records of Justice Amin in the Judiciary for the said Office to rectify the entry of his date of birth to conform with the matuity date of his policy contract."
