Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 10, 1999.

G.R. No. 117741 (Moises S. Samson vs. Office of the Ombudsman, et al.)

It appearing that respondent Leonito Catarroja failed up to this very late date to comply with resolution of April 22, 1998 which imposed on him a fine of P500.00 for his non-compliance with the resolution of January 21, 1998 which required him to show cause why he should not be disciplinarily dealt with or held in contempt for his failure to file his comment on the petition for review on certiorari as required in the resolutions of December 12, 1994 and August 28, 1998 and to submit the aforesaid comment, the Court RESOLVES: (a) to IMPOSE upon aforenamed respondent an INCREASED FINE of P1,000.00 payable to this Court within ten (10) days from notice hereof or imprisonment of five (5) days if such fine is not paid within the prescribed period; and (b) to REQUIRE him to COMPLY with the RESOLUTION OF January 21, 1998 by submitting to this Court his explanation and comment on the petition for review on certiorari also within ten (10) days from notice hereof.
