[ G.R. No. 132232. February 1, 1999]
PACITA T. PRINCIPE, et al. vs. SYLVIA MENDOZA.
THIRD DIVISION
Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 1, 1999.
G.R. No. 132232 (Pacita T. Principe and Alexander E. Ramos vs. Sylvia Mendoza.)
On March 8, 1998, petitioners filed a Petition for Review on Certiorari assailing the Decision, dated February 1997 and the Resolution dated January 14, 1998, of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. SP No. 39199.
Instead of filing a comment as required by the Court, private respondent together with the petitioners filed a Joint Manifestation on August 17, 1998 seeking a reasonable period within which to submit a compromise agreement.
On December 23, 1998, the parties, through their counsel, filed a "Joint Motion for Judgment Based on Compromise Agreement" attaching thereto a copy of the said undated Compromise Agreement.
WHEREFORE, the Court hereby APPROVES the said Compromise Agreement since it appears to be voluntary and not contrary to law, morals or public policy. This case is now deemed terminated.
SO ORDERED.
Very truly yours,
(SGD.) JULIETA Y. CARREON
Clerk of Court
