[ G.R. No. 134232. January 13, 1999]
MARIO BAUTISTA et al. vs. ELENA TE.
THIRD DIVISION
Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 13, 1999.
G.R. No. 134232 (Mario Bautista et al. vs. Elena Te.)
The petitioners' first motion for extension of fifteen (15) days from November 19, 1998 or until December 4, 1998 within which to file a motion for reconsideration of the resolution of September 9, 1998 is DENIED, pursuant to the En Banc resolution of April 7, 1998 which formally laid down the general policy that no motion for extension of time to file a motion for reconsideration shall be granted after the Court has rendered its judgment.
The Court deliberated on the petitioners motion for reconsideration personally filed with this Court on November 19, 1998, of the resolution of September 9, 1998 which denied the petition for review on certiorari. It appears to the Court that the motion merely reiterates the same arguments earlier raised and does not present any substantial reason not previously invoked nor any matter not already considered and passed upon by the Court.
ACCORDINGLY, the Court Resolved to DENY the motion for reconsideration for lack of merit. This denial is FINAL.
Very truly yours,
JULIETA Y. CARREON
Clerk of Court
