Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 18, 1999.

G.R. No. 134791 (Northwest Airline, Inc. vs. Simeon M. Valdez and Lydia D. Valdez.)

The respondents second motion for extension of thirty (30) days from October 24, 1998 or until November 23, 1998 within which to file comment on the petition for review on certiorari, is GRANTED.

Considering the motion to withdraw petition dated October 21, 1998, filed by Attys. Ricardo P.C. Castro, Jr. and Emmanuel S. Buenaventura, counsels for petitioner, stating petitioner's willingness and readiness to satisfy the award in the decision dated July 31, 1997 of the Court of Appeals, the Court Resolved to consider this case CLOSED and TERMINATED.

LET the parties be INFORMED accordingly.
