Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 27, 1999.

G.R. No. 135409 (Cristeta Go-Cuenco, et al. vs. Ronald Abellana, et al.)

Acting on the motion of petitioners for reconsideration of the resolution of November 11, 1998 which denied their motion for extension of time to file a petition for review on certiorari for failure to submit a written explanation for its non-personal service on respondents as required in Section 11, Rule 13 of the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure, the Court RESOLVES to DENY the same with FINALITY, no compelling reason having been adduced to warrant the reconsideration sought. Accordingly, the petition for review on certiorari is DENIED pursuant to Section 5 (a), Rule 56 of the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure, the petition having been filed late on October 16, 1998, i.e, beyond the fifteen-day reglementary period provided in Section 2, Rule 45 of the same Rules.
