Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 20, 1999.
G.R. Nos. 135584-94 (Julian Santiago, Jr. vs. Hon. Araceli S. Alfariz, Presiding Judge, Branch 41, Regional Trial Court of Negros Oriental, et al.)
Acting on the motion of petitioner for reconsideration of the resolution of November 9, 1998 which dismissed the petition for certiorari for non-compliance with the provisions of Rule 65, in relation to Rules 46 and 56, governing petitions for certiorari, prohibition and mandamus, as amended and provided in the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure, the Court RESOLVES to (a) DENY the same with FINALITY, no compelling reason having been adduced to warrant the reconsideration sought; and (b) NOTE the motion of Atty. Vicente dela Paz II to withdraw as counsel for petitioner with the conformity of the latter as well as the appearance of Atty. Ma. Rosario L. Payumo as new counsel for petitioner.
