[ G.R. No. 136261. January 20, 1999]
CONSOLACION FRANCISCO, et al. vs. REINATO QUILLA, et al.
SECOND DIVISION
Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 20, 1999.
G.R. No. 136261 (Consolacion Francisco, et al. vs. Hon. Reinato Quilla, etc., et al.)
The motion of petitioners for an extension of thirty (30) days within which to file a petition for certiorari is GRANTED.
Acting on the petition for certiorari, the Court RESOLVES to DISMISS the same for failure to adduce any compelling reason to warrant petitioners' disregard of judicial hierarchy in accordance with Rule 65, Section 4 of the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure and for this Court to assume jurisdiction over the case in the first instance. Moreover, the petition is insufficient in form for lack of proper verification pursuant to Section 4, Rule 7 of the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure and, accordingly, the petition shall be treated as an unsigned pleading which under Section 3, Rule 7, produces no legal effect.
Very truly yours,
TOMASITA B. MAGAY-DRIS
Clerk of Court
