Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 18, 1999.

G.R. No. 136281 (Simplicio Pesidas, Jr. vs. People of the Philippines.)

The motion of the petitioner for an extension of thirty (30) days within which to file a petition for review on certiorari is DENIED; the affidavit of service of copies of the motion on the respondents being not in accord with Section 13, Rule 13, in relation to Section 2, Rule 45 of the Rules of Civil Procedure and, therefore, ineffectual since the alleged date of service of the petition and the date of execution of the affidavit of service are in conflict with the actual date of mailing as shown in the registry receipts and it failed to state therein the place of such service.
