Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 19, 1999.

A.M. No. 98-12-164-MTC (Re: Inhibition of Judge Cecilio G. Martin in Criminal Cases Nos. 409 and 410.)

Acting on the Order dated 22 September 1998 of Judge Cecilio G. Martin, Municipal Trial Court, Isabela, Basilan, issued in Criminal Cases Nos. 409 and 410 inhibiting himself from the cases, entitled "Pp. vs. Atty. Bienvenido G. Martin" for Violation of B.P. 22, on the ground that the accused is his brother, the Court Resolved to: (a) NOTE the order of inhibition of Judge Cecilio G. Martin issued in Criminal Cases Nos. 409 and 410 and (b) DESIGNATE Judge Efren S. Mariano, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 2, Zamboanga City, to try and decide Criminal Cases Nos. 409 and 410 at the Municipal Trial Court of Isabela, Basilan, utilizing the personnel of the latter court for the purpose. Judge Mariano shall not be entitled to additional compensation, except the payment of a travelling expenses.
