Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 19, 1999.

A.M. No. 98-12-399-RTC (Re: Petition for change of venue of Civil Case No. R-540.)

Acting on the Petition for change of venue, dated March 3, 1997, filed by counsel for petitioner Juliana Ramirez Jabon, requesting that Civil Case No. R-540, entitled "Estate of Donato Ramirez, represented by Juliana Ramirez Jabon vs. Igmedio Reyes, et al.," for Petition for Relief from Judgment be transferred from Regional Trial Court, Branch 42, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro to Regional Trial Court, Manila, in order to avoid the possibility of the local politician influencing the Court, since the respondents son Pedrito Reyes who is Vice Mayor of Pinamalayan Oriental Mindoro has been frequently visiting the trial court, where Civil Case No. R-540 is pending, the Court Resolved to DENY, for lack of merit, the instant of Civil Case No. R-540 (Estate of Donato Ramirez, represented by Juliana Jabon vs. Igmedio Reyes et al.)
