RE: REQUEST OF JUDGE LYDIA QUERUBIN LAYOSA FOR AUTHORITY TO RE-TAKE THE TESTIMONIES OF WITNESSES IN THREE CRIM. CASES

Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 26, 1999.
A.M. No. 98-12-401-RTC (Re: Request of Judge Lydia Querubin Layosa for authority to re-take the testimonies of witnesses in three (3) criminal cases.)
Acting on the Letter, dated 3 November 1998, of Judge Lydia Querubin Layosa, Regional Trial Court, Branch 217, Quezon City, requesting authority to re-take the testimonies of the witnesses in the following Criminal Cases: (1) Q-95-61441; (2) Q-94-53475; and (3) Q-96-65334, for the reasons stated therein, the Court Resolved to: (a) GRANT the request of Judge Lydia Q. Layosa, for the re-taking of the testimonies of some witnesses in the aforesaid cases, provided however, that the said cases should be decided within the period of sixty (60) days after the re-taking of the testimony; and (b) DIRECT the National Bureau of Investigation to serve the warrant of arrest against Marilou D. Arellano with dispatch and to make a return of such service to RTC, Branch 217, Quezon City.
