ALEJANDRO MAGPAYO vs. ATTY. LAURENCIO OCO
FIRST DIVISION
Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JUN 28, 1999.
A.C. No. 3332 (Alejandro Magpayo vs. Atty. Laurencio Oco.)
On March 21, 1989, Alejanro Magpayo filed a complaint, in Ilonggo, against Fiscal Laurencio Oco for repeatedly branding the complainant as a thief. On September 22, 1989, we ordered complainant to file a complaint under oath in 18 legible copies.
On August 14, 1989, the Court resolved to refer the letter-complaint to the Department of Justice for appropriate action.
On October 9, 1989, Magpayo filed his complaint, in Tagalog, insisting that the act of Fiscal Oco in calling him a thief hurt his feelings.
To this date, no action has been taken thereon. Upon inquiry, the records were forwarded to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
Considering the allegations in the complaint to be insubstantial and not is serious in nature, we resolve to dismiss the complaint.
Very truly yours,
(Sgd.) VIRGINIA ANCHETA-SORIANO
