Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated MAR 1, 1999.

G.R. No. 135188 (Hubert J.P. Webb, et al. vs. People of the Philippines).

Acting on the motion of petitioners for leave to file a second motion for reconsideration of the resolution of November 9, 1998 which denied their motion for extension of time to file petition for review on certiorari and to pay docket fees and deposit for costs and dismissed the aforesaid petition for late filing and non-submission of a written explanation for non-personal service of copies of the petition on respondents, and of the resolution of January 13, 1999 which denied with finality their motion for reconsideration of the aforesaid resolution of November 9, 1998, the Court RESOLVES to DENY the same for lack of merit and pursuant to Section 2, Rule 52, in relation to Section 4, Rule 56 of the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure as amended.

Accordingly, the aforesaid second motion for reconsideration of the resolution of November 9, 1998 and January 13, 1999 is NOTED WITHOUT ACTION.
