Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated NOV 16, 1999.
G.R Nos. 134823-25(People of the Philippines vs. Antonio Hampton a.k.a. "Boy Negro" [Prision Mayor], Arnold Lopez y Serrano a.k.a. "Adan Manalo", Arthur Pangilinan y de Guzman a.k.a. "Toring," and Reynaldo Yambot y Masagaya.)
The Manifestation dated 17 September 1999 filed by Atty. Josephine M. Advento-Vito Cruz of the Public Attorney's Office for accused-appellant Arnold Lopez y Serrano, informing the Court that on 16 September 1999 she personally went to this Court and personally signed their brief in compliance with the resolution of 20 July 1999, is NOTED.
Acting on the Motion to Withdraw Cash Bond filed by accused-appellant Antonio Hampton, praying that the Regional Trial Court, Branch 70, Pasig City, be directed to issue, release or reimburse to herein accused-appellant or his attorney-in-fact, Sylvia Hampton, the cash bond of P20,000.00 which this accused posted during the trial of this case, the Court Resolved to require the Office of the Solicitor General to file COMMENT thereon within ten (10) days from notice.
The Motion to Withdraw dated 01 September 1999 (wrongly addressed to Regional Trial Court, Branch 70, Pasig) filed by Atty. Conrado Leonardo, Sr. withdrawing his appearance as one of the counsels in the above-entitled cases, is DENIED and he is directed to COMPLY with Section 26, Rule 138, Rules of Court.
The Court further Resolved to (a) NOTE the Brief dated 20 October 1999 filed by the Office of the Solicitor General for plaintiff-appellee pursuant to the resolution of 02 March 1999 and (b) require counsel for accused-appellant to file REPLY BRIEF within thirty (30) days from notice.
