Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution if this Court dated OCT 27, 1999.

G.R. No. 135813 (Fernando Santos vs. Arsenio and Nieves, both surnamed Reyes, and the Hon. Court of Appeals.)

The parties have presented two versions of the appealed August 17, 1998 Resolution in CA G.R. CV No. 34742, which are materially dissimilar in some parts. The petitioner claims his copy is a certified photocopy of the original obtained from the Court of Appeals. On the other hand, the respondents claim to have received their copy by mail also from the CA. To determine which is the genuine Resolution, the Court RESOLVED to require the Court of Appeals to EXPLAIN the discrepancy and to FURNISH this court with an authentic copy of the assailed Resolution of August 17, 1998, signed by the CA justices concerned, within 10 days from receipt of this Resolution.
